"What is Iridology?"
Iridology is the study of the fibers of the Iris (the colored part) of the eye. Every tissue of the body has a particular place that shows in the Iris. 
This allows the practitioner to see inflammation or degeneration before symptoms occur, and identify and address the root cause.
"Is my Consultation covered by Insurance?"
Depending on your insurance plan, a portion or all of your consultation fee may be covered by your insurance provider. The cost of  natural supplements will not be covered by insurance.
Carla Brown in a Registered Nutritional Consulting Practitioner (RNCP). If you have any provision for Nutrition, Dietician or Alternative Medicine you may be covered. 
"Is Carla Brown a Naturopath?"
 No. The Naturopath Designation applies only to doctors.
Carla Brown is an Iridologist and a Registered Nutritional Consulting Practitioner, not a Doctor.

"Will I receive a Diagnosis?"
No. Carla Brown is a Nutritional Consultant who specializes in Iridology and natural supplements. You will not receive a diagnosis.
However, a diagnosis is just the name given to a certain set of symptoms and all issues may be addressed through dietary changes or the addition of herbal supplements, regardless of the name.
"You Do Allergy Testing?"
Yes. We do Food & Food Additive Testing, as well as Environmental Allergy Testing. All of  our methods are gentle and non-invasive. We do not use scratch tests or needles to test for allergies or intolerance to substances.

All of our testing is done through muscle testing, bio-feedback and pulse-wave technology. 

"Do I need to do anything before my appointment?"
Depending on the type of consultation you are having, we may request that you abstain from caffeine, bring samples, etc. 

We have all new clients fill out paperwork upon their arrival for their initial appointment. If  you are taking medication or supplements, please bring samples of each item, or a list of what you are taking.

For an Initial Consultation or if you are having the Cardiovascular screening, please drink plenty of water and abstain from Caffeine for 12 hours before your appointment time. 

For Environmental Allergy Testing please contact our office for a list of potentially irritating substances to bring from your home or office.

For Food & Food Additive Testing please contact our office for a list of items to bring. 
"Do I need an Initial Consultation for Food Allergy Testing?"
No. If your specific concern is Food or Food Additive Allergy Testing, it is not necessary to book an Initial Iridology Consultation before your Allergy Testing Appointment.  Please indicate that you wish to book for Food Allergy Testing at the time you make your appointment.
